Operation “Gustav Coverage”: Harnessing Social Media

During Gustav, one of our Partners (Kevin Spidel) was able to quickly organize a real time reporting mechanism with our new media production network in the field directly from the Gulf Coast.
The goal was to harness technology available to BlueDynamic and capture live video reports from the ground into one embed player. This allows folks who know how to capture video on cell phones or other devices, but might not understand what to do with that media, to connect with Kevin and make use of their vantage point, in a viral way.

This is just an example of quick thinking and utilizing social media and technology to capture real time news that matters, directly from the source.

Below is the realtime player we utilized. If you click on the video clips (there are 56 video clips in this one player), make note of the arrow left and right of the playing video. This is how you navigate to each additional video clip.

Again, this is an example of how we understand, maximize, and help build networks with New Media here at BlueDynamic:

New and Traditional Media with BlueDynamic

As the previous post indicated, Bryan Buchan and Kevin Spidel made the trek to the New Media Expo in Las Vegas. We were welcomed by many leaders in the industry; and we were excited to see the buzz of our firm penetrating various vertical markets within the New Media world.

In the coming weeks, BlueDynamic will be publishing more and more of the work in this realm on our blog. Related to this work, we are very excited to know that we will be continuing our partnership with the Roosevelt School District in South Phoenix. Part of our work plan with RSD includes 10 short social media clips which we are looking forward to produce. We are also in discussions with several online personalities around promotion and marketing of their online content. It is our goal to showcase several podcasts, represented by BlueDynamic, very soon.

Social Media continues to be an avenue that is harnessed by political candidates, government organizations, and businesses. We are privileged to have clients in a diversity of markets.

Also, stay tuned to this website for our September 2nd primary election reports.

BlueDynamic Road Trip to New Media Expo

Two of the four partners of BlueDynamic (Bryan Buchan and Kevin Spidel) will be hitting the road this week. Our destination… the New Media Expo in Las Vegas!

A little background…

We launched this firm back in March of this year. Since then, business has been good. Unfortunately we are the very much like the auto mechanic that works so much on the cars of his clients the he has no time to work on his own car. We have yet to build out our website to showcase the New Media work that BlueDynamic has become known for.

Some of our projects include a quick HD update for Mary Kim Titla and live podcasting for AZ School Works and Maricopa County Attorney race.

Some of the testimony and work that we have done in the few months we have been open for business has already been captured:

This week, we are taking it to the next level. We will be meeting with a lot of our colleagues in the new media world. Many of which we will interview on this blog to discuss their personal brand successes, their new media techniques, and most importantly… what that means to our clients.

Stay tuned to this blog as we podcast the road trip, the people we meet, and capture the network of talent that is BlueDynamic.

See you in Vegas,

The boys at BD.
